Meridian Lake is a beautiful area up Washington Gulch. Homes in this area have a view of our iconic Crested Butte Mountain from a different angle then most as well as seeing the large mountains up Washington Gulch like Gothic Mountain. Access via a short drive off the main road between Crested Butte & Mt. Crested Butte is quite easy, but once you arrive you are a world away. Actually made up of three subdivisions – Meridian Lake Meadows, Meridian Lake Park & Pristine Point at Meridian Lake – this area has great access to the outdoors. The road just past the subdivision is not plowed in the winter which provides snowmobilers, backcountry skiers & cross country skiers with easy access to the backcountry. The Snodgrass trailhead is also just past the subdivision and the trail to Long Lake – our local swimming hole starts just across the street. You can learn more about Meridian Lake on their website.
Glacier Lily & Saddle Ridge
These small subdivisions are perched just off the road near the turn to Washington Gulch. Glacier Lily has been around for a long time and properties there are just over 1 acre. Saddle Ridge is a relatively new subdivision with only one home built there. The lots there are just over 2 acres and look a bit more towards town then those at Glacier Lily. Other than a couple of homes that are not in a subdivision, there aren’t many properties with this aspect & view so Glacier Lily and Saddle Ridge offer a limited and unique location.
Moon Ridge is an exclusive subdivision with a unique perspective. With only 9 lots and the only residential development at the bottom of the hill between Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte you would be hard pressed to find a better location. The recreation path between the two towns crosses Moon Ridge Lane and makes it very easy to get places without your car if that is important to you. The views of town as well as down the valley towards Gunnison are vast and impressive.
