Even though there are not many events this time of year, Crested Butte is still a great place to visit. From Vinotok to Opening Day, there are a few planned events going on around town and on the mountain. Crested Butte is also host to some of the most spectacular places to see the breathtaking fall colors. Below is the calendar of events. I have also listed a few great places to see those fall colors!

Below are a few suggestions on where to see the best fall colors.
Kebler Pass is one of the most photographed areas of the state during autumn. The area boasts the largest aspen grove on the continent, with miles and miles of aspen stands that peak out among the evergreen trees.
Slate River Valley
Slate River Road, Road 734, leads drivers along the Slate River, past Nicholson Lake and Forest Service trailheads. Loops can be made past Emerald Lake, on Washington Gulch Road and, for those looking for longer drives, up to Marble, Colorado.
This is a 7.5 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail. It features beautiful wild flowers in the summer and amazing colors in the fall. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from June until September.
